Back Room Art Booking Form Terms and Conditions

1. Studio Facilities
1.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring in advance that the facilities are appropriate for
their requirements.
1.2 The Client will adhere to the security arrangements and of the agreed session times.
1.3 The Client must leave the premises at the agreed time specified on the invoice.
1.4 Back Room Art will only allow access to people with a direct role in the class.
1.5 The Client is responsible for any damage caused to equipment through misuse or abuse.

2. Technical Failure or staff/family illness
2.1 In the event of a technical failure or staff/family illness disrupting a session Back Room Art will either arrange for an alternative date for the session to take place, or offer a full refund for the disrupted time.

3. Booking an art workshop/class
3.1 When booking a session at Back Room Art you are entering into a contract by
which you are agreeing unconditionally to abide by the studio’s terms and conditions.
3.2 Session bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval. Back Room Art reserve the right to refuse and reschedule. Bookings are not valid until confirmed and any
any required deposit paid.
3.3 Under 16s are charged at the full rate, and are only permitted with a full paying adult also in attendance.

4. Fees
4.1 All fees must be paid in advance of any booking by bank transfer, Paypal or cash in
person. We do not accept credit card payments.
4.2 Any required balance must be paid before booking can be confirmed. Payments are non-
refundable or transferable.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
5.1 There are no refunds for cancellations from a client, with any exception for this made solely at the discretion of the studio.
5.2 Half a terms notice is required for leaving a weekly class.

6. Session Time
6.1 Session times are defined as the following:
Weekly classes, 90 mins per week during school term time.
Workshops, assumed four (4) hours with a full class of six (6).
6.2 Workshops may run shorter than four (4) hours is there are less than six (6) people in
attendance.

General rules of use

Breakages and damages to studio equipment
Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the
client.

Use of materials
General art materials are supplied by Back Room Art for use in session with the
exception of canvas which must be provided by the Client themselves. Any session that
requires an additional purchase of materials by the Client will be given advance notice. The borrowing or lending of materials to take out of the workshop is not permitted.

Use of work on social media
Photographs of Clients and client work is regularly displayed on social media websites. It is
automatically assumed by agreeing to these terms and conditions that consent has been given by the Client, however, if you do not wish for photographs to be taken or displayed you must inform Back Room Art immediately.

Personal items/lost property
Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Back Room Art is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged on the premises.

Smoking
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is NOT permitted anywhere inside the studio. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are outside and away from the studio’s doors. When leaving and entering the Studio, please remember that the main door to the grounds must be kept shut at all times. Any theft or damages that occur as a result of the door being left open will be chargeable to the client.

Phone or tablet charging
The use of phone or tablet charging at Back Room Art is permitted at the owners discretion.

Food and drink
You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the studio but must be kept away
from paintings and art equipment.
